Auschwitz. Not a lot needs to be said to describe our lowest point in modern society. Even scarier to me than the tales within its walls is the fact that I share the exact same genetic makeup as those responsible, and nowadays some 21st Century neo-conservative political views share that smell of the fascist ideals responsible for the creation of such industrial death machines.

The only thing I will say is that it must be seen to be comprehended, and be seen in the context of Central Europe’s history for it’s possibility to be soberingly contemplated. I noticed some locals displaying a hardness which seemed distilled from an ingrained understanding that much of human history has been very un-civilised. I think I may need a Vodka.
