Wow! what a night, Got the gig to shoot the event Inquisitive Minds with Michael Parkinson or ‘Parky’ as he’s known to the majority of television watchers who’ve seen any BBC TV in the last 20 or so years. Parky was awesome, a true gentleman and entertainer, he never complained and when asked, told me I could take as many shots as I liked. 

I obtained a Nikon D3 for the night and fell in love immediately, all the hype is justified and this thing just does its biz, bringing up sharp, contrasty and noiseless images in almost any light scenarios, bang, then bang, bang, bababababababang, I had to take it off continuous shooting it was so quick. With a 70-200mm whacked on the front it’s a beastly combo. Now that we’re separated I’m feeling a little depressed.

Note: How’s the Fremantle Dockers scarf, the man does have taste.
