Andrew & Kathryn Jacobs - Wedding

What a day! Perfect weather, beautiful Church (Saint Andrews, Barker St. Subiaco), handsome groom, gorgeous bride and a Nikon D3, 70-200mm f2.8 in hand left me no doubt I was in for some fun. The ambient light in the Church was awesome thanks to the three massive stained glass windows above the alter which meant the D3 could run in cruise mode with the D2Xs nipping at it’s heel.
Andrew and Kathryn wanted again (see pre-wedding shoot) to use a lightly stylized treatment for the images, wanting to avoid highly setup, forced or artificial looking shots. The relaxed attitude really showed through in the images to show a sense of fun and enjoyment throughout the day. We shot in front of the Church, then at the blue house on Mounts Bay Rd, near Fraser’s in Kings Park and then at the Indiana Tearooms on Cottesloe Beach and just south at the sun dial. Being half way through Autumn the light was changing fast but we got to the beach with plenty of time to take advantage of the setting sun. Overall the guys were thrilled and personally the results are very pleasing.
