A bit about retouching.

Capturing close-ups is no problem, only the camera picks up everything and the closer the subject gets to the camera, any flaws then become features of the image. So retouching the images becomes a case of adjusting every pore and mark on the skin to create the even gradient needed for that ‘makeup ad’ look whilst retaining the skin details, then at the same time I’d be fixing up eye brows, lashes, hair, folds in skin, changing bone structure if required, etc. It’s not difficult, but it is time consuming and boring as batshit to do, A high res image generally takes about 1.5 hrs to get to perfect skin.
